Jamas in Cologne

Nice little Greek with a great menu and great dishes! Even if the prices are a bit higher, the kitchen makes up for it with the taste. The waitresses were able to cope with the rush, but it took a minute or two longer. But it's not a complete snack for gyros either, it's still a restaurant ... We felt we were in good hands and would love to come back here again and again, keep it up, dear JAMAS TEAM !!!! ?

Positive: the food was served quickly, even without a reservation we got a table (the place wasn't really full). To be improved: portions were rather small, the "salad" looked like rabbit food and was oozing with olive oil. No cucumber, tomato, potato, just a little green salad with oil. Not even vinegar. Bifteki had hardly any filling, neither Souvlaki nor Bifteki were well done. Tzatziki was available for € 4 extra, which was a small plate. That was our first and last time there.

You are always welcomed very nicely. There are Greek specialties that you don't get from every Greek. We always love coming here. 1 point deduction because you often have to wait a long time for the meal.

Very tasty, we just missed some garlic in our food. Food was garlic free. Otherwise gladly again.

The food is excellent. The boss rude to his guests. The cleanliness in the restaurant and especially in the toilet area leaves a lot to be desired.

Very very unfriendly staff! First we couldn't sit where we wanted although it was almost empty and none of the tables was reserved. After we waited for at least 10 min to get the menu we proseided to order. The waiter wasn't happy about the amount of food we ordered (it was around 25€ for 2 people) and we were asked either to leave or order more because this is too little. I'm absolutely astonished that behavior like this could be tolerated. I wish the owners could read that and take a note...

Good food doesn't mean everything is good The quality of the food is very good, but the portions are quite small for a substantial price. On our first visit, we were not allowed to sit in the desired free space in the sun, but were seated at a tiny table in the last shady corner. It's a shame because we had been looking forward to one of the sunny spots there for a long time. On our last "visit", a friend only ordered a drink while everyone else ordered full dishes. She was asked to order something worth at least € 20 or to leave the restaurant. So we all returned our cards and left. Very unfortunate but not to be tolerated

Absolutely outrageous behavior!!! I was with a friend there. She ordered for more than 20 euros and I ordered just a beer and this was the reason we were literally thrown out of the restaurant. Because I am supposed to spend: quote: “at least 25 euros per person”. Then they asked us to leave the restaurant.

Just needs what to get your food

boo it was very, very expensive - received little for the money -for very greasy food, mushy fries, 2 small. Meat skewers cost 14 € at Ambiente like a slightly better chip shop - bad hard folding chairs

Owner-run restaurant. Traditional Greek dishes. Versatile and very tasty starters. Excellent wines at reasonable prices. Comfortable to sit outside in summer.

A real taste firework! A lovingly run family tavern with the typical Greek charm. Very nice service. Here the boss and his son personally take care of the well-being of the guests. The small mezedes don't taste better even in Greece - and this for example. I truly speak from experience. Every visit is like a small, relaxing journey of pleasure.

Delicious food, lots of typical Greek dishes. I've always had different meze. The homemade fries are very good! But the rest was also recommended. Cozy atmosphere and nice service. Finding a parking space is a bigger problem.

Our Airbnb host recommended us several places to have dinner, and I’m glad we choose Jamas. The service is great and the dishes are perfect, especially the octopus’s dish?. ? ? ?

When I went they for the first time with my partner, the owner was in a very bad mood and showed us that he didnt like the fact we didn't order more expensive meals. Quite unprofessional, but they apologized.

A Greek who is not typically Greek at all. That is exactly what makes it so good. I like going there again.

I have been here before, the food is really good and pricing, however the service was sooooo slow that we left before we were able to order, sorry guys!

We have been to Vangelis many times in the "Jamas" and are always happy to be here. Very nice staff, super delicious meals (great mezedes) and the hospitable atmosphere make the visit to Jamas always a great experience. In addition a few bottles of Greek Weeeeein and a few glasses of Tsipouro and you completely forget that you are just not in Greece vacation. Keep it up! Jamas! ??

Delicious small plates and great service. Server helped us pick out a few plates for the table (tzaziki and feta to start, followed with lamb and the octopus with potato salad) and for our two picky kids (chicken kebabs and fries). We are outside and our two dogs were welcomed and given water. Would definitely come back.

Delicious food, friendly service and fair prices. We ordered many little things, all of which were delicious. They were also prepared quickly. We have a seat outside without reservation directly on Sunday afternoon.

A Greek restaurant with feel-good factor. Cuisine in every respect, highly recommended are the lamb chops and the octopus. The wine ... ? Greek! ?? The staff is attentive and entertaining. An all-round successful evening! ??
